Class of 2018 Graduations

AYRW staff had the opportunity to attend and support all of our senior River Watchers at their graduation ceremonies. As involved as we are with our students, they continue to surprise and impress us by the magnitude of their accomplishments! One of our students was the valedictorian of her school, while another received ten different scholarships and awards. Several of our students were recognized with academic honors and scholarships, along with achievements in the arts, athletics, and community service, including their service at River Watch. Our program staff were positively bursting with pride to see them step into the next phase of their lives.

Many of our graduating seniors spent their entire high school careers in AYRW, serving our community by monitoring our waterways, improving riparian ecosystems, and building community within River Watch and throughout Austin! All of our seniors graduated, some were mentors to their fellow River Watchers, and several served AYRW as Ambassadors. We are so proud of all of our graduating River Watchers!
