September 22-23, 2012: 8 Young Women attended the Sleepover. We had a good conversation with a Barred Owl on our night hike to the river. Both of our Interns from St. Edwards University joined us and helped all the girls to feel welcome in the group. We made ice cream and played all kinds of great games. In the morning we got out in the river and sampled benthic macroinvertebrates with volunteers. Over lunch, the adult volunteers talked with the girls about their career pathways. It was really fun and helped the students from all the groups get to know people from the other groups better.
