June 26, 2015: Seven River Watchers from Akins, Lanier, and LBJ High Schools met guests from the Next Steps event at Buttermilk Creek. River Watchers performed water quality tests and talked to Next Steps guests about their experiences in the program. Our Service Learning Manager, Adam Comer, discussed the tenets and characteristics of a healthy riparian zone. At Waller Creek Center, John Beachy of Watershed Protection, led a talk and tour of the Waller Creek Tunnel Project.
