December 3, 2012: Seven River Watchers from Eastside High got to meet actor, Nicolas Cage, after he finished performing for the day in some scenes for the upcoming David Gordon Green drama, Joe. The film is to come out in 2013 and is about an ex-con (Cage) who mentors a troubled young man, helping him get onto a better path in life. We look forward to seeing the film and to catching glimpses of our special place at Hornsby Bend in the background of various scenes. Thanks for stopping to visit with the students – It meant the world to them!
