Austin Youth River Watch
Summary
AYRW's 2024 Summer Program includes outdoor programming focused on watershed education, aquatic ecology, and Central Texas ecosystems.
Location
Various locations in Austin, TX
Student Stipend
$60/day, $540 total
Transportation
Full transportation will be provided to and from specific pick-up and drop-off locations based on the address provided by each applicant. The exact location will be confirmed with each student following the interview.

After you complete the online application, a staff member will contact you to set up a brief interview.

Dates
Choose the cohort that best fits your schedule: Cohort 1 in June or Cohort 2 in July
Cohort 1 Dates
June 11th - June 27th
Cohort 2 Dates
July 9th - July 25th
Responsibilities
  • Students will attend 3 days per week from 7:30 AM -3:30 PM of outdoor programming.
  • Students must attend at least 7/9 programming days.
  • Students are expected to arrive on time to their pick-up location.
  • Students are expected to communicate with their supervisor.
Adventures

Each cohort will have 2 Friday adventure opportunities. Adventure days are not paid, but they are free and include activities like caving, boating, swimming, and more!

Gulf Coast Trip

At the end of both cohorts from July 30th- August 2nd, all summer program students will have the opportunity to sign up for an educational and fun trip to Matagorda Bay! We will water quality test, do ocean science activities, and have a full beach day.
