July 1, 2016 | Young Women’s Sleepover
On July 1st, 14 young women of River Watch had a sleepover at the EcoHouse. Sleepovers and campouts give River Watchers from different schools an opportunity to meet and hang out with each other. In fact, young women from Eastside, Lanier, Reagan, McCallum, LBJ, Crockett, and Austin High Schools participated! These experiences are especially important in helping young people develop an understanding of different perspectives and learning to function in a multicultural environment. River Watchers went night swimming at Barton Springs Pool and then back to the EcoHouse for games and “indoor camping.”
