January 30, 2016 | Service Learning Project | Lady Bird Lake
On January 30th, five River Watchers from Travis High School met at Lady Bird Lake on the Southeast Shore to participate in an event with TreeFolks and The Trail Foundation. They planted several tree saplings along the shore. TreeFolks provided their expertise by reminding River Watchers to plant the saplings at least 10-20 feet from other trees, fill the holes with original soil, build 2″ tall mulch rings, and to give the saplings ample water.
