June 29 & 30, 2017 | Young Men’s Overnight
Five young men of River Watch had an overnight event at the EcoHouse. Sleepovers and camp-outs give River Watchers from different schools an opportunity to meet and interact with each other in peer-learning activities. These experiences are especially important in helping young people develop an understanding of different perspectives, as they learn to function in a multicultural environment. The students had the opportunity to enjoy a great dinner together and visit the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center for Nature Night. Nature Nights are free, family-friendly events filled with exciting explorations of native plants, animals, and the ecology of Central Texas. The students enjoyed an interactive presentation and hiked with an expert in their field.
