July 17, 2015 | Service Learning Project | Onion Creek at Lower McKinney Falls
Ten River Watchers met with Glen Gillman of Travis County Parks at a flood buyout property along Onion Creek. Glen gave a career talk, land management objectives, and prescribed burning basics. River Watchers assisted with removal of bamboo, a non-native invasive to open up an area to native grasses and tress. They ended their afternoon with a swim and lunch at Lower McKinney Falls.
