January 31, 2013: Six River Watchers toured ponds at the Hornsby Bend Biosolids Management Plant and discussed the biological treatment of the wastewater sludge through the Dillo Dirt Composting process as well as through the ecosystem functions of the ponds. Students viewed many different species of ducks and other birds.
