This week Gillian from TreeFolks led an edible plant hike for our River Watchers! We identified four edible plants that are common to central Texas: Pecan, Sugar Hackberry, Wild Grape Vines, and Prickly Pear Cactus. We learned three specific ways to identify each and how/where they are edible. Thank you Gillian and TreeFolks for being such wonderful neighbors and educating us more on the nature around Hornsby Bend.
