AYRW Students greet the Big Pecan

October 4, 2011      10  AYRW students visited the big pecan tree near our office.  the pecan tree, Carya Illinoinensis, is the state tree of Texas.   It takes several people linked hand in hand to reach around this one – the biggest on Hornsby’s Bend of our Texas Colorado River.  There was a little tree hugging involved.
