Ambassador Day of Service

River Watch Ambassadors and staff volunteered at the Central Texas Food Bank on Saturday, May 26th. Their efforts helped provide 4,242 meals for Central Texans in need! This year, the Ambassadors chose to volunteer with the food bank as their service project, proving their leadership abilities and motivation by coordinating and implementing this event with minimal assistance from the program staff. The River Watch Ambassadors are elected by and represent their peers each year to lead the Readiness Committee and provide the students a voice within AYRW leadership. They work on goals throughout the year to create a more robust peer mentoring experience, serve as media contacts, implement service projects (such as this), organize fundraisers, and design tools to assist all River Watchers in making the transition from high school graduation to the next phase of their lives! We are incredibly proud of our Ambassadors for their leadership within River Watch and the work they have done to give back to their community!
