October 10, 2012: 15 Students visited Environmental Advocates Jennifer Walker and Kari Banta at the office of the Lone Star Chapter of the Sierra Club. Jennifer and Kari observed the students’ practice run for their presentation for the Environmental Board and gave their feedback. They also shareed about what they do with Sirerra Club and about their career pathways. Afterwards, the presenting students reworked the presentation so that they felt ready to give the final presentation the next week for the City of Austin Environmental Board. Jennifer Walker participates in the Region K Water planning process, serves on the City of Austin Environmental Board and is the Water Resources Specialist at Lone Star Sierra Club. Kari Banta specializes in Transportation Issues at Sierra Club.
