June 12, 2012: 14 River Watchers conversed with Brandon Crawford, Preserve Manager, at the Barton Creek Habitat Preserve, a 4000+ acre preserve of the Texas Nature Conservancy set aside for the preservation of two species of endangered birds – the black-capped vireo and the golden-cheeked warbler. In addition to helping the students understand how he has gotten from where they are in high school to where he is in his life and in his position with The Nature Conservancy, Brandon helped the students to learn about the endangered birds there and the ways that he helps to manage the preserve to create the right ecological support for the birds and other priorities of the Nature Conservancy.
