Groundwater to the Gulf Workshop

Ten River Watchers had the opportunity to attend the Groundwater to the Gulf workshop at Barton Springs Pool. Groundwater to the Gulf is a field-trip based institute for Central Texas teachers that emphasizes techniques for teaching water-based curricula. The students assisted with presenting and teaching the water quality tests that they regularly perform with River Watch to the educators and workshop attendees. Events such as these provides our students with valuable opportunities to practice public speaking and further develop their social and leadership skills. In this instance, our River Watchers were teaching their teachers!
