May 8-11, 2017 | End of Year Celebrations
The last week of programs is set aside to celebrate with River Watchers. Each day River Watchers from two to three different high schools meet up at the EcoHouse to grill burgers and dogs and play games! We talk about some of our favorite adventures over the past year, we wish luck to those who are still completing assignments and tests, we congratulate our graduating seniors and hear about their plans for continuing their education and/or entering the workforce, and we share reminders about the summer program. The River Watchers also receive awards from the staff based on a fond memory or a special quality they exude, such as “Top Chef” for the student with extraordinary culinary skills and “Keystone” award for the student who consistently holds the group up.
