June 16-17, 2016 | Young Men’s Sleepover
Nine young men from River Watch had an Austin adventure and sleepover. They started their evening with a canoe trip along Lady Bird Lake and learned about the Congress Avenue bat colony. Approximately 1.5 million bats emerge from under the Congress Avenue Bridge every night in the summer to forage for food. Afterwards, River Watchers jumped in the cool 69 degrees of Barton Springs Pool for a swim. They had a cookout and sleepover at the EcoHouse. They had an awesome day exploring Austin and sharing these new experiences with each other!
