June 19-20, 2015: Ten young men of River Watch made a road trip to San Marcos, where they toured the Texas State University campus. They learned about application processes, financial aid options, and campus life. They ate dinner in the cafeteria, swam at Rio Vista Park, and had the opportunity to stay overnight in the dorms. On Saturday, River Watchers tested water alongside staff from the Meadows Center for Water and the Environment. They toured the wetlands and aquarium, went on a glass-bottom boat tour of Spring Lake, and then sampled for aquatic bugs in the San Marcos River. Many thanks to the Meadows Center for providing our River Watchers with a glimpse of college life!
